As an educator, I want to challenge each student to succeed in academics and see their development as a human. I want to see the progress each student has made and help them make better decisions in their lives. For this to succeed, I want to have personal relationships with each of the students including the students that are not in my classes. I will use frequent collaboration within my practice to ensure relationships are being built by the students and me. I believe that peer teaching is one of the most effective ways students learn. Peer teaching is not only beneficial to the students, but also helps with my learning as a teacher. With this personal interaction, I will be able to see how they learn and what I can do to become a better educator.
